First Time Homebuyer Temecula

Buying a home is an exciting proposition, but it can also come with its own share of anxiety. I remember when we first bought our home here. Is this a good neighborhood? How are the schools? Can I afford this?

Step 1: Ask Questions

Asking questions is crucial to buying a home. Your agent’s primary job is to answer your questions. This includes questions as varied as what type of solar system is on this house to helping you understand the differences between a conventional and VA loan.

Step 2: Get Prequalified

It is extremely important to make sure that you have your loan prequalification when you begin shopping. It is important for so many reasons, how much house you can comfortably afford? Understanding impact of HOA and Tax rate on payment? How does this payment work for your financial plan? Most importantly, having your prequalification enables you to submit offers quickly when you find your dream home.

Step 3: Be realistic about your home ownership goals and budget

We all want the best house we can possibly afford. It is your agents core mission to do that. However, sometimes expectations of features and or location are next to impossible given budget or market. This makes it extremely important for Step 4.

Step 4: Select a reputable a qualified agent.

There are literally thousands of licensed agents in the Temecula Valley. Many of these are passive and sell a home here or there. We all have a cousin or family member with a license. You need to select someone that is available, professional, and most importantly that you are comfortable with. There are tons of questions that you have and some that you may not know to ask. If your agent doesn’t take Real Estate seriously, what makes you think they will take your home search seriously? How do you find a real estate professional? Research. Look at Zillow, Yelp, and other online reviews. Talk to several before you choose. How to choose a Realtor In Temecula
